ShowTiming
Terms of service
Rules for using the ShowTiming hosted service. Draft pending lawyer review — especially refunds, liability, and governing law.
1. Service
ShowTiming provides hosted live-timing tools: an authenticated Control room, read-only Stage links, and an optional Broadcast view. Network and device conditions on show day remain your operational responsibility.
The service is intended for professional / business use in live events.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential.
You are responsible for activity under your account, including Stage/Broadcast links you distribute.
3. Plans and entitlements
Discovery — free prep with product limits (events, live duration, Stage links, no Broadcast) as shown in-product and on Pricing.
7-day Pass — paid activation unlocking Pro capabilities on one event for seven consecutive days.
Pro Monthly / Annual — paid subscriptions with broader entitlements as described on Pricing.
Billing is processed by Stripe. Taxes may apply (Stripe Tax).
4. Acceptable use
Do not abuse, attack, or reverse-engineer the service; do not use Stage links to impersonate an operator; do not upload unlawful content; do not resell access except as expressly allowed.
We may suspend accounts that threaten the service or other users.
5. Live-show disclaimer
ShowTiming is a cloud tool. Treat internet connectivity as show-critical. We do not guarantee uninterrupted offline operation. Reconnect resyncs to server state when connectivity returns.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Subscriptions can be managed via the Stripe Customer Portal (cancel at period end / payment method updates), subject to Stripe and plan rules.
Refund policy for Pass and subscriptions: [TO COMPLETE with lawyer].
7. Intellectual property & customer content
We own the ShowTiming software and brand. You retain rights to your event content. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide the service.
8. Liability & governing law
Limitation of liability, warranties, and governing law / venue: [TO COMPLETE with lawyer — typically French law for a FR publisher].
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
