Rundown & segments
Build the timed list before anyone needs the clock.
Think of the rundown as a shopping list of time blocks. Each line is a segment: a name + a duration. Control Room walks through that list. If the list is empty, Control Room stays locked.
Open the right page
From Your events, click your event name. You should see the tab Rundown selected.
- Edit event — change the event name or date, then Save (or Cancel).
- Delete event — removes the whole show (confirmation asked). Use only if you are sure.
- Total duration — sum of all segment lengths (read-only helper).
Add a segment (button: Add a segment)
Click Add a segment. Fill the form carefully:
- Title — short name people understand on radio (example: “Keynote”).
- Type — pick Generic, Talk, Break, Changeover, Video, Music, or create a custom type.
- Minutes and Seconds — how long this part should last.
- Notes (optional) — private reminder for the operator (and optionally shown on Stage).
- Add segment — saves and returns to the list.
- Cancel — closes without saving.
Change the order
On the rundown list, each segment has tools:
- ↑ — move one step earlier.
- ↓ — move one step later.
- Move to + Position N — jump to an exact place in the list.
- Edit — change title, type, duration, or notes, then Save.
- Delete — remove this segment (confirmation). Cannot be undone.
- Empty state — if there are no segments, use Add the first segment…
- Why Control is grey — you need at least one segment before Control Room opens.
- Tip — keep names short and unique so Active segment is easy to read live.
Planned rundown start time
Optional but useful for punctuality cues in Control:
- Find Planned rundown start time on the Rundown page.
- Set the clock time when the first segment should begin in the real world.
- Click Save.
- In Control, Active sequence can then show “ahead / behind / on time”.
- If you skip this, the countdown still works — you only lose that planning helper.
Good rundown habits
For a calm show day:
- Build and reorder on a quiet day — not five minutes before doors.
- Put breaks in as real segments if they are timed.
- If something is not timed, leave it out of the clock.
