ShowTiming

Stage & Broadcast links

Create screen links, copy them once, revoke them after.

This page is the tab Stage & Broadcast inside your event. It is not inside Control Room. Here you create URLs for floor monitors (Stage) and, optionally, a fullscreen overlay timer (Broadcast).

Open the page

Inside your event, click the tab Stage & Broadcast.

  • You need an event first (see Getting started / Rundown).
  • Stage links are for people who must see time + context (next segment, message).
  • Broadcast is optional — only if you need a bare fullscreen countdown (often for overlays).

Stage links — every button

Stages are named monitors. Quota shows as Stage links: current / max.

  • Name — type a label (example: “Backstage LED”).
  • Create a Stage — creates the monitor and shows the secret URL once.
  • Copy URL — copies the link. Do this immediately.
  • Open — opens the Stage view in a new tab to verify.
  • Checklist (Copied / Opened / I saved this link…) — tick these so you do not leave without saving the URL.
  • Rename — changes the label only; the URL token stays the same.
  • Regenerate link / Delete — Regenerate kills the old URL and shows a new one once; Delete removes the Stage entirely.

Broadcast link — every button (optional)

Broadcast is a single fullscreen timer. It may require Pro (you will see View pricing if locked).

  • Generate Broadcast link — creates the first URL (shown once).
  • Regenerate Broadcast link — invalidates the old URL; copy the new one.
  • Revoke Broadcast — turns Broadcast off for everyone using that link.
  • Copy URL / Open — same as Stage: save and test immediately.
  • No cue message on Broadcast — only the big numbers (and alert colors).
  • If you only need floor monitors, you can ignore Broadcast completely.

What “shown once” means

For safety, the full secret URL may appear only at create/regenerate time.

  • If you close the page without copying, regenerate to get a fresh URL.
  • Old URLs stop working after regenerate, revoke, or delete.
  • Masked / hidden state means the link exists but is not shown again.
  • Treat links like stage keys — do not paste them in public chats forever.
  • After the show, revoke Broadcast and delete or regenerate Stage links you shared widely.

Common mistakes

Avoid these:

  • Looking for “create Stage” inside Control — it lives on Stage & Broadcast.
  • Giving talent the Control Room page instead of a Stage link.
  • Forgetting to copy the URL when it is revealed.
  • Leaving old links alive for weeks after the event.

Next

Open a Stage link on a second screen, then go to Control Room and press Start. Read Stage and Control articles for what each screen shows and which buttons exist.
